She sails through the air after impact
Her nine lives simultaneously fly skyward
to join her astrological family.
I know there aren’t thirteen months in a year,
but there should be
some homage to my panther.
The Aztec astrological guardian cat of my dreams,
strong, jet black and mildly aggressive

This is lovely! So sorry for your loss. I’ve only had one dog, and now I have a cat, and I must say, they are such different creatures! KitKat meows to go outside at 3AM, and if I don’t respond, he starts loudly tearing off bits of his cardboard box! Mysterious but wonderful, cats are. Thanks for sharing this!

Thank you. I’m learning that they are visitors in out lives for a reason. Some short term some long term. I had my first cat for 15 years. After that the terms have been shorter, but I remember them all and friendly loving peculiar creatures. 🙂
